Novomeal is a nutritionally balanced, single-cell protein meal derived from a consortium of non-GMO, food-grade microbes. These microbes are grown by fermenting a mixture of CO2 and hydrogen gases, usually from untreated industrial emissions. Novomeal is a suitable feed ingredient for most livestock, poultry, and aquaculture markets. Like fishmeal, it is a complete protein, with all ten essential amino acids needed by fish, as well as fatty acids, vitamins, anti-oxidants, and minerals. Unlike fishmeal, it is free of mercury and other heavy metals, radioactive isotopes, mold, fungus, and parasites.
